Experience

Research Associate, Health and Wealth, Employee Benefit Research Institute,Washington, DC

At EBRI, my research focuses on employer-sponsored health plans, public policy, and employee outcomes.

Senior Research Analyst, Morningstar, Inc., Washington, DC

At Morningstar, I worked on the policy research team, where I conducted economic analyses of public policy issues. I analyzed publicly-available government survey data, as well as public SEC disclosures to inform Morningstar's institutional positions. I built sophisticated econometric models to quantify the effects of regulations and policies. I wrote white papers based on these analyses, as well as articles for Morningstar Magazine and the Morningstar blog to distill our findings for a wider audience.

Data Analyst, HelloWallet, Washington, DC

I conducted personal finance research to help establish HelloWallet as a thought leader in the personal finance space. I analyzed HelloWallet's own user data to unearth insights into how users' behaviors changed after signing up for the app. I also wrote several white papers exploring topics in retirement and health care spending.

Research Assistant, American Institutes for Research, Washington, DC

I was a research assistant on numerous education research projects, including evaluating the efficacy of educational interventions on student outcomes. This was where I was first exposed to statistical programming in a professional setting!
